Add a rack-side MIK mounting interface
The Basil MIK Carrier Plate 70170 fits a suitable non-MIK luggage rack so it can accept accessories equipped with a compatible MIK product adapter.
Check your setup
This is the rack-side carrier plate, not the basket-side 70173 Product Adapter 2.0. An integrated MIK rack does not need this additional carrier plate. Check rack dimensions, mounting fit and clearances before installation.
- Basil part: 70170. Barcode: 8715019701702.
- Suitable rack width: 100–170 mm, subject to fit checks.
- Black synthetic construction.
- Maximum carrier-plate load: 15 kg. The lowest applicable accessory, plate, rack and bike load limit applies.
The accessory must have its own compatible product adapter. Our Basket + MIK adaptor plate option includes basket-side 70173, not rack-side 70170. MIK compatibility is not child-seat approval.
Two different MIK parts
| Part | Purpose | How we offer it |
|---|---|---|
| Carrier Plate 70170 | Rack-side interface for a suitable non-MIK rack. | This standalone carrier-plate listing. Not included in the basket + MIK option. |
| Product Adapter 70173 | Basket-side adapter connecting to a compatible MIK interface. | Included in Basket + MIK adaptor plate. Not offered separately here; do not add a second adapter. |
Fixed mounting does not require MIK parts. Check mounting fit and all component load limits.

Air 20 Ultra is not One Ultra: One Ultra needs the additional 70170 carrier plate under this setup guidance. Check the exact rack, mounting clearances and component fit before installation. Rack and bike load limits still apply; this is not child-seat approval. The 70170 carrier plate is separate and is not included in our Basket + MIK adaptor plate option. That option already includes the basket-side 70173—do not buy it twice.
