Service And Maintenance

Keeping an e-bike running well is not just about fixing problems after something goes wrong. Regular checks help keep the bike safer, smoother and more reliable, especially if it is used for commuting, school runs, carrying kids, deliveries, weekend rides or regular Gold Coast transport.

Sun Chaser Ebikes offers e-bike servicing and maintenance support on the Gold Coast for compatible bikes, parts and accessories. If you are unsure whether your bike or part is compatible, call 0401 830 966 first and we will confirm what we can help with.

To request a service time, use the Sun Chaser Workshop OS booking page:

Bookings are confirmed by Sun Chaser before you bring the bike in, so we can check the model, service type and likely parts first.

Why Regular E-bike Maintenance Matters

E-bikes are heavier and faster than standard bicycles, so small problems can become more noticeable. Brakes, tyres, fasteners and batteries all deserve regular attention.

A basic check can help with:

  • safer stopping
  • better tyre life
  • fewer surprise flats
  • smoother handling
  • less noise and vibration
  • better reliability for daily use
  • catching wear before it becomes expensive

If the bike carries a child seat, passenger setup, basket or surf rack, servicing matters even more because the bike is doing extra work.

When To Book A Check

Book a service or inspection if:

  • braking feels weak, noisy or uneven
  • tyres are worn, cracked or losing pressure
  • the bike feels loose, unstable or noisy
  • the chain or drivetrain feels rough
  • a rack, basket, child seat or accessory needs checking
  • the battery charger or electrical behaviour seems unusual
  • the bike has been stored for a while
  • you ride most weeks and have not had it checked recently

Do not wait for a small issue to become a bigger one, especially if the bike is used on public paths or roads.

What To Tell Us Before Booking

To help us confirm the right service, send:

  • bike brand and model
  • a photo if the model is unclear
  • what issue you are noticing
  • whether it is a brake, tyre, battery, charger, accessory or general check
  • whether the bike has been modified
  • whether any parts have already been replaced

This helps avoid wasted time and makes it easier to confirm whether parts are available.

Parts And Accessories

Sun Chaser stocks practical e-bike parts and accessories, including brake pads, tyres, tubes, chargers, baskets, racks, locks, mirrors and child-seat related accessories.

Useful starting points:

Local Support After Purchase

Good e-bike ownership is easier when support is local. Being able to ask questions, check fit, confirm parts and book service gives riders more confidence than buying from a product page alone.

For Sun Chaser customers, service support also helps with:

  • setup questions
  • accessory fit
  • replacement parts
  • warranty guidance
  • road-compliant use
  • long-term care
