Understanding Your eBike Battery

Choosing the right battery for your eBike is crucial for ensuring optimal performance and a smooth riding experience. Let's break down the key components of eBike batteries and what they mean for you.

Amp-Hours (Ah)

The amp-hour (Ah) rating indicates the battery's capacity, or how much charge it can store. Essentially, it tells you how long your eBike can run before needing a recharge. For example, a 22Ah battery can provide more extended range compared to a 15Ah battery. Here’s what we offer:

  • Troopy eBike: 48V 22Ah
  • Classic ST Model: 48V 15Ah
  • Classic ST+ Model: 48V 20Ah
  • Nova and Alpha Models: 52V 20Ah

Voltage (V)

Voltage (V) measures the electrical potential of the battery. Higher voltage generally means more power and better performance. It affects the top speed and torque of your eBike. Our batteries come in two voltages:

  • 48V: Provides a solid balance of power and efficiency.
  • 52V: Offers more power and better performance, ideal for the latest Nova and Alpha models.

Watt-Hours (Wh)

Watt-hours (Wh) is a measure of the total energy stored in the battery. It’s calculated by multiplying the voltage (V) by the amp-hours (Ah). A higher Wh rating means longer range. For example:

  • 48V 22Ah battery: 1056Wh
  • 48V 15Ah battery: 720Wh
  • 48V 20Ah battery: 960Wh
  • 52V 20Ah battery: 1040Wh

Cycle Life

All our eBike batteries use Samsung premium battery cells rated for over 800 cycles. A cycle is one full charge and discharge of the battery. A higher cycle rating means a longer-lasting battery.

Summary

  • Higher Ah: Longer range
  • Higher V: More power and speed
  • Higher Wh: Longer energy storage

Choosing the appropriate battery depends on your riding needs. For long-distance rides, a higher Ah rating is beneficial. For better speed and performance, consider a higher voltage battery.

Understanding these elements helps you pick the right battery for your eBike, ensuring you get the most out of every ride.
